Publication Ethics

IJRDO – Journal of Business Management is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in scholarly publishing. The journal follows best practices based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all participants in the publication process, authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, to uphold these principles.
Our aim is to ensure transparency, integrity, and fairness at every stage of the editorial and publication process.
Editorial Responsibilities
The editorial team is responsible for ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are evaluated fairly and objectively. Editorial decisions are based on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope, without discrimination of any kind.
All manuscripts are reviewed using a double-blind peer review process, where the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential. Review assignments are made only to qualified experts in the relevant subject area.
Peer Review Integrity
Peer review is central to maintaining research quality. Editors ensure that reviews are conducted responsibly and that reviewer comments are used to improve the quality of accepted manuscripts. Where necessary, technical or language editing may be recommended to enhance clarity and accuracy.
Publication Misconduct
The journal takes allegations of misconduct seriously. Misconduct may include, but is not limited to:
-
Plagiarism
-
Redundant or duplicate publication
-
Fabrication or falsification of data
If a concern is raised by a reviewer, reader, or editor, the editorial office will conduct a preliminary assessment to determine whether further investigation is required.
Investigation Procedure
When sufficient grounds exist, the following steps are followed:
-
Evidence related to the allegation is carefully reviewed.
-
The corresponding author is contacted and given an opportunity to respond or provide clarification.
-
If misconduct is confirmed, appropriate action is taken depending on the severity of the issue.
Possible actions include correction, retraction, or removal of the article from the journal website. In serious cases or where authors fail to respond, the author’s affiliated institution may be informed for further investigation.
Corrections and Retractions
If honest errors are identified after publication, corrections may be issued to maintain the accuracy of the scholarly record. Articles may be retracted if serious ethical breaches are confirmed.
Authorship Changes
Requests for changes in authorship (addition, removal, or reordering of authors) are considered carefully and must follow ethical standards.
Authorship change requests may arise:
-
Before publication
-
After publication
Authorship Change Procedure
To process an authorship change, the following conditions must be met:
-
A written request explaining the reason for the change must be submitted.
-
Written consent must be obtained from all listed authors, including those being added or removed.
-
If all authors agree, the requested change will be processed.
-
If there is disagreement among authors, the manuscript or published article may be temporarily suspended until the matter is resolved.
For post-publication disputes that cannot be resolved internally, the matter may be referred to the authors’ affiliated institutions.
Commitment to Ethical Publishing
IJRDO – Journal of Business Management welcomes feedback from authors, reviewers, and editorial board members to continuously improve journal quality. By following ethical publishing practices, the journal aims to protect the integrity of academic research and the trust of the scholarly community.
